After attending college and working various jobs, I had the opportunity to join a small Graphic Arts supply firm as
Manager of Manufacturing in the Color Proofing Industry. I worked directly with top management and subsequently
was promoted to Plant Manager. During that time, I directed all plant, technical and sales employees. I was in charge
of inventory, research and development. I handled all purchasing, customer service and complaints, resolved issues
with EPA, OSHA and local Fire Departments; and was responsible for Material Safety Data Information.
In 1987, I started my own Graphic Arts supply firm. I purchased machinery to implement product manufacturing to
reduce costs and increase profits. It worked out so well that we even sold to competitors that developed high-volume
avenues of sales. Sales grew so rapidly that we moved to larger facilities three times in the first five years to
accommodate manufacturing, sales and increasing inventory levels.
Over the years, however, computer technology advanced rapidly and began to undermine the sales of our Graphic
Arts Inks and Chemicals; so I set my sights on creating a new niche product that would eventually replace my
existing business. A musician at heart, I conceived a new consumer electronics audio product designed to work with
Home Theater and Stereo applications. The product won multiple awards at Invention Shows and was considered to
be one of the top five new audio products introduced at the 2006 CEDIA Show in Denver, Colorado, We set up a
number of dealers, but due to the lack of name recognition, unit costs and the failing economy, we did not maintain
substantial cash flow to cover the costs of marketing, assembly and warehousing of the product. Currently, the
product is still available through our dealers and direct from our website, but we are very interested in a licensing
agreement, or a complete buy-out of patent and business assets.
